A highly
skilled staff and competitive pricing are two of the company’s
foundations. But a major factor in the company’s rapid rise is
Founder & President Robert Burner’s vision, which calls for a focus on customer
service in addition to quality and price. This is what has
allowed American Sheet Metal to really stand out among the
competition.
The
company’s strengths are evident from the beginning of every
project. We meet in the design phase and assist the client with
ideas and concepts and value engineer the best product for the
best price. We create different designs and specifications for
what the client needs to incorporate the aesthetic look they
want. The object is to keep within budget, and sometimes cost
and design don’t go together. Then our job is to get it within
the client’s budget while keeping the design and plan true to
the desired look.
Because
budgets and designs coincide so infrequently, American Sheet
Metal has had a lot of experience in reducing costs while
maintaining the design’s integrity. It’s during these times
that the staff’s ability and customer service play a huge role.
We completed the $70 million Grossmont Hospital Addition in
La Mesa,
CA, which included designing and fabricating architectural
aluminum panels and sunshades for the exterior of the building.
We worked with the project architect and the general contractor
to design a product that would be within budget and still
deliver the look they wanted.
Despite the
difficulty of the job, our experience in handling projects such
as this made it that much easier for us to successfully complete
the project.
American Sheet Metal’s abilities extend across a number of
facility types. Private and public schools, office buildings,
hotels, libraries – anything in the commercial, industrial or
institutional sectors – are projects that American Sheet Metal
can handle. This versatility can be seen through its work on
the Sycuan Indian Casino in El Cajon, CA. The addition at
Grossmont Hospital, required working around the existing
hospital operation, while the Sycuan Indian Casino was
impressive because of the sheer volume. It involved installing
more than 50,000 square feet of standing seam metal roofing and
thousands of feet of gutter. All the while, crews had to
contend with many different challenges including the occupancy
of the ongoing casino operation.
